iPhone 16 pro on the bench after a local doctor came in wanting to recover data from his phone after it just randomly died. After some diagnostics and splitting the motherboard we found x2 different charging ic bad and also an eeprom ic that is marred to one of the charging ic. After harvesting from a good donor board and sandwiching the layers back together we have all data backed up and saved and phone is 100% functional.

Quest 3 on the bench today for not fully booting just loads to black screen with no sound or function from buttons. Device had mass amount of sweat when we first started to open the device. Some how that sweat got on the front face of the unit on the motherboard. Found a shorted ic. Removed and cleaned oxidation from ic. Luckily no pads were fried to bad I couldn’t reball ic. After installing chip device fully boots and working 100% again 🤙

iPhone 11 in for water damage data recovery. Had a short that burned down into the top layer of the motherboard. Had to drill a hole through the board to clear the short then traces had to be ran from top of board to the charge port to prevent the phone from bootlooping every 3min. All in all device is on, full backup directly to the cloud and one happy customer 🤙
