🔊 Most people blame their speakers. It is almost always the power behind them.

Here is the whole amp decision in one minute.

CHANNELS 2 for one pair. 4 for a full set. 5 if the subs get their own.

POWER Match RMS, not peak watts. 45 to 50W per channel suits most cars. 75W if you want it loud.

THE ONE RULE Never run more RMS per channel than the speaker is rated for. That is how tweeters die.

SUBS They need their own amp, and the ohm load has to match.

FACTORY SCREEN Keep it. An amp with speaker level inputs taps the factory wiring instead.

🔊 "It was the right choice."

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ on our Amazon store, from a customer who swapped out a well-known 10" sub for a Harmony Carbon 10 and crossed his fingers.

His verdict: the old sub hit hard, but the sound quality wasn't there. After the break-in period, the Carbon 10 matched it on SPL and left it behind on quality. "Everyone who has heard my system tells me there is a night and day difference between the two."

Note the break-in part—that's twice now in a week. Our subs are stiff out of the box and open up as the suspension flexes. Give them a few weeks before you judge them.

🔊 A universal box doesn't fit a Mustang trunk. The bulkhead is sloped, so the box has to be too.

This ASC dual 12" enclosure is cut for the Mustang coupe:

→ Tapered 14" at the front down to 9.25" at the rear, so it nests against the bulkhead → Two independent sealed chambers, 1.00 cu ft each, for clarity and not just volume → 10.75" mounting depth, so it takes a normal 12" and not shallow-mount only → Precision MDF, glued and fastened seams, completely sealed → Binding-post cups: banana plugs or bare 10GA wire → Rear-firing, and it fits with or without the factory MACH 460

🔊 "Don't sleep on Harmony Audio... their products are legit!"

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ on our Amazon store, from a customer who opens by saying he's no expert. That's what makes it useful—he's describing what he heard, not reciting specs.

His take: the amount of air these move isn't what you normally get at this price. You're paying entry-level money and getting high-quality materials and a workhorse of a sub. He's running a set of 12s and a set of 10s, and rates them equally.

His biggest tip, and it's a good one: give them time to break in. They're stiff out of the box. As the suspension warms and flexes, they get better. Judge a sub after a few weeks, not on day one.

Worth noting how he built it too—both boxes custom, and the 12s built to Harmony's published airspace requirements. We publish those numbers so you can hit them.

🔊 "Harmony Audio is no joke."

Five stars on our Amazon store, from a 50-year-old bass head who's been building SPL systems his whole life. His words: "If it's been made I've usually ran it. This is one of the most impressive amps I've ever owned. Bang for buck is an understatement."

Then he backed it with his wallet—5x 1500.1, 4x 800.1, and a 400.4. Nobody buys ten amps to be polite.

His other notes: they run cool, no heating issues of any kind. He's also running Monolith 12s at 0.5 ohm and building a demo vehicle on three Monolith 18s. "These subs are built like tanks and DO NOT get hot."

And the advice we'd give too: upgrade your electrical. Proper alternator, a real battery bank, 1/0 OFC minimum, and mount the amp on a rack—not the back of the sub box.

Adding bass to a regular cab is normally the hard one—there's no cabin space to work with. This box is cut to use the space behind the seat that was going to waste anyway.
