Santi has built a lot in his four years at SAP: a career in customer success, a role in several employee communities, and, more recently, a place on the podium of one of the world’s toughest desert races. 🏃
His SAP story started in 2022 with an internship at the SAP Digital Hub in Barcelona, working with the Humanizing Business team. In 2023 he joined full-time as a Digital Customer Success Manager in the EMEA South team, where he supports customers across the African Market Unit and helps them get value from their SAP solutions. Alongside his role, Santi has supported colleagues as an SAP Mentor and Early Talent Ambassador for the Spanish chapter, was nominated as an SAP Catalyst, and helps organize networks where people can connect and learn from each other. This year he became Global Co-Lead of the Neuroinclusive Network, working on events and community initiatives that build awareness and belonging across SAP. 💙
Outside work, Santi found trail running. He came from alpine skiing and used running mainly for cardio, until time in the mountains became a regular part of his life. He ran his first half marathon in February 2025. In 2026 he completed the Gobi March in Mongolia, 250 kilometers in seven days, finishing third among the men and fourth overall, and winning the team title with Team Iberian. He shared the experience with his mom and stepdad, who ran the race with him.
For Santi, races like this come down to managing water, food, pace, and the way you talk to yourself when things get hard. His advice to anyone who thinks a challenge like this is out of reach is to start small, build habits, and keep taking the next step.
