Just a quick story from an experience with one of my customers.

She had her son's laptop that had been diagnosed by one of the box stores "tech gurus". This did not happen to be one of our local stores. They told her that the motherboard was bad and needed replacing. That can be a pretty costly repair and my guess is that they just wanted her to buy a new laptop.

She brought it to me and it was no more than a broken Windows 7 installation. I just upgraded it to Windows 10 and it was fixed. Use your locally owned businesses for your computer repair. You will get better service and a more honest approach to getting your tech problems resolved.

Refurbished Asus X552L 15.6" Laptop. Intel Core i5, 4GB RAM, 240GB SSD Hard Drive. Taken in from customer that had dropped it and crashed the hard drive and she replaced with new laptop. New SSD installed with Windows 10. Top corner had some chipped off plastic which I covered with duck tape. Replacing the entire front and back covers would have been too expensive to resale. Corner is structurally sound. $175.00
