Email migration and integration, MS Outlook or Gmail, backup and disaster recovery solutions which usually don't get implemented until AFTER... a disaster to name a few. Okay on this one the customer said they accidently spilled a lititle water on the keyboard. Yeah, right!. I didn't know water was orange. The cable that connects the LCD monitor to the motherboard fused to the connector socket. You can see how the plastic from the connector melted through the scoket. And no, I did not fix this one. At least not yet.

The computer repair business comes with an array of surprises. They are called "PCs" for a reason. The are "VERY PERSONAL". The attached image is of a customer's laptop that would not charge. Upon opening it I was unpleasantly startled to find some "personal smelling" powder. I had to ask the customer what they thought it was. They told me they had a severe case of exema and said it was most likely "DEAD SKIN". If you look really close on the last image you can see one of the wires that was disconnected from the DC power jack. They used scorch tape or hold it together. Yes I fixed it and yes, the price went up.
