From the Trades to the Future of the Home 🔧đźŹ
I had the opportunity to go on Newsmax to talk about something I’ve spent more than 30 years living every day: the skilled trades and where this industry is headed.
The trades are changing. HVAC, plumbing, electrical and the rest of the home service industry aren’t just about wrenches and toolboxes anymore. Technology, data, sensors, AI and connected homes are becoming part of the job.
The next generation of tradespeople has an enormous opportunity in front of them. We need to get young people excited about these careers, embrace new technology, and show them that you can build an incredible life in the trades without following the traditional college path.
Then I joined The Rick and Kelly Show to talk more about my journey in the trades and what we’re building with HG Home Guardian.
For me, these two conversations connect perfectly.
The trades built my career. Technology is where I believe we take them next.
Home Guardian is about giving homeowners and contractors better information about what’s happening inside the home helping identify problems earlier and creating a stronger connection between homeowners and the professionals who take care of their homes.
I’ve been in this industry for over three decades, and I believe some of its biggest changes are still ahead of us.
The future of the trades is blue collar + technology. And we’re just getting started.
