Back to abstracts. 😊 😊😊 Layers. Layers. Layers. Trials. Successes. Fails. Feels like I’m starting over a lot, but love the process when I let go. I do paint intuitively, but I also have to have some meaning behind it. I do love expressive art. I like soft subtleness with engaging detail.

I think I’m almost done with this one… but ya never know when you look at it again the next day. So fun.

This was so much fun. I took this photo my friend took of a bear in a dumpster in North Carolina. I’ve been loving creating art for gifting. It was an exciting moment and memory to express in an art piece.

I didn’t want it to be just like the photo of course and I wanted to add texture. It’s mixed media paper (stars I punched out from saved greeting cards), acrylic, pastel pencil in wood panel. 12x12
