If you’ve seen 1883, you already know:

Some people just weren’t meant to make it to Oregon.

They bring too much baggage.
They second-guess the guide.
They try to carry a piano across a river.

Eventually, you stop trying to save them.

And that’s when you start getting real results.

Marketing is no different.

👉 Clients who follow the plan?
They make it.

👉 Clients who fight every step?
They drown in their own fear.

Not every lead is a good fit.
Not every opportunity is worth saying yes to.
Not every wagon deserves to be in your caravan.

So here’s the truth:
If you’re the guide, act like it.
Lead. Decide. Set boundaries.
Only walk with the ones who are willing to walk with you.

The promised land is real.

But it’s earned.

Let’s ride.

Let me be blunt: most people won’t make it to the promised land. Not in business.

🚨 NEW POST: MARKETERS, READ THIS 🚨
Most businesses are stuck selling features.

The smart ones? They sell identity.

People don’t buy “lead generation” or “Google rankings” or “website redesigns.”
They buy a better version of themselves—and the story they get to tell when that version becomes real.

🧠 I just dropped a full breakdown:
“Don’t Sell Features—Sell Identity: Why People Buy Who They Want to Become”

In it, I cover:

The internal dialogue every buyer has (and how to align with it)

Real-world examples from SEO, Ads, and Web Design

The 5 identity levels behind every purchase

How to shift your pitch, your offer, and your brand message—this week

If you’re in marketing, sales, or entrepreneurship and want to close more aligned, high-quality clients—this one will hit home.

Who Cares if my Website is Mobile-Friendly?

Well you should be the person who cares the most! If your website is not mobile-friendly, it may not function correctly on mobile devices. Most people now search for things to buy on their smartphones and laptops, so if they cannot move around your website on both types of device then they will leave to find a site that makes their shopping experience easy. You lose!

You need to know right now if your website is mobile-friendly. Use Google's mobile-friendly checker: https://search.google.com/search-console/mobile-friendly.

When I learned about how critical it is to have a mobile-friendly site a few years ago, I quickly upgraded my website. See it here: https://pfpmarketing.com/.

Now, if you find out your site isn't mobile-friendly or has lots of mobile issues, hit me up! [email protected] -- Matt Watson.

Monitor your Online Reputation with Google Alerts

It’s always good to actively promote your brand along with its good reputation, but what if things get a bit ugly when you have to deal with bad reviews?

First, you have to prevent matters from escalating by addressing every complaint you get from a customer. It has to be fixed at this level when the customer is still trying to reach out to you because once they have felt frustrated and think they have to warn others about your practice, things can get messy.

Nevertheless, you have to set your radar for negative reviews. One good way to do this is to set up Google alerts for your brand terms and your name.

Let me know if you need more information. We’d be glad to help.

How much should I spend on online marketing?

Typically, it is recommended that you invest about 15 to 20% of your monthly profit into online marketing. Internet marketing agency pricing varies, as does the online marketing cost for different strategies and packages. Why do companies engage in digital marketing? Companies invest a lot in online marketing, mainly because it is effective in more ways than one. It leads to better and faster return on investment, enhances the company's overall image, and increases your customer base on the web.

SEO Audit: A Must Do

How often should an SEO Audit be completed for your business? Forty-seven percent said in a survey that a full SEO audit should be conducted every six months.

An SEO Audit performed by an independent marketing consultancy, like PFP Digital Marketing, will give you the opportunity to see your SEO performance from a more objective standpoint.

Is it doing well or not? What parts are broken? What elements are working and therefore should be optimized?

Whether or not you will do the SEO Audit yourself, assign in-house staff, or hire a consulting firm, it must be done.

To give you an idea about the process and points covered in an SEO Audit, here are some helpful articles:

These are the New Website Trends. Are You Ready for 2019?

The past couple of years has given us a lot of changes to the way websites are used by visitors.

Website design has changed to accommodate and make life easier for a visitor. Mobile design has started to change and redesign the way we see websites. Performance and how fast your website loads for your visitors, is a very important thing in the fast-paced world we now live in. If a page takes longer than 8 seconds to load, most users assume the page is not working, and quickly leave.

With mobile technology gaining more popularity, and more ease of use, users are looking for designs that are easy to see, explore, and navigate. Nothing turns off a user quicker than a poorly designed website that they can’t see, or use the menus on. Your website should not only be easy to navigate, but it should also have appealing and easy to see design elements that users love.

Would you like to take advantage of the latest design trends, and have your website fully optimized for mobile devices?

Email us today at [email protected] and we can take a look, and help you bring your website up to speed.

Digital Marketing: Two Things to focus on right now.

1. Content is still top of the priority list for businesses that succeed on the web. How do you engage your potential customers? Videos? Interactive Infographics? Quizzes? eBooks? Maybe that’s not enough, ‘live video streaming’ straight from the company is being used by those at the cutting-edge of digital marketing.

2. The Customer Experience. The customer is still King and smart businesses are investing in making the customer journey an easy and pleasant experience.
