The Sleepy Eye Police Department and Sleepy Eye PUC wish to thank Luke and his crew from Carolina Signaling Enterprises for their hard work and willingness to help us with the Thunderbolt Siren on the PUC Building. For the first time in 4 or 5 years the siren is rotating again. It is difficult to find anyone that has the knowledge and ability to work on the old sirens. Luke and his crew specialize in Thunderbolt Sirens and contacted the PD as they were in the north part of the county. The crew drove up from South Carolina to work on some different projects and were able to fit us in with their schedule. We hope to have them back again next year to work on the sound quality and plan for a full restoration to the original look and quality in the future.

Our thoughts and prayers here at Carolina Signaling Entetprises are with the family of Officer Keller of Greenwood. It is always a terrible thing to lose a first responder in the line of duty especially so close to home.

Today, we did our normal thing and repaired a downed warning siren in Decatur County, Indiana. It was a long trip up here but was definitely rewarding. We at Carolina Signaling would like to thank Decatur County Emergency Management Agency and the director, Mr. Michael Snyder and his staff for the hospitality they showed our technicians today! Serving the Carolinas and beyond proudly, as demonstrated here and never wavering in our mission to keep people safe near and far!

This week we finished up a crucial upgrade to the Saluda River Rise Warning System. This is a system of about 7 electronic sirens and strobes to alert boaters and swimmers of rising water. A lot of hard work went into this process, but we want to thank Dominion Energy for being our partners during this process. This system has been upgraded signifcantly compared to how it was set up before, and continues to be an important piece of Infrastructure.

Today, our crew made some much needed repairs to a siren in Newberry County. Thanks to their combined efforts, the community of St. Phillips has a much louder and more reliable siren!

Yesterday and today, we assisted Dominion Energy and performed some much needed maintenance on their siren system for the Saluda Hydro Plant.
