I’d add one more piece:

Time-block it. Then automate it.

Because your calendar can be perfectly organized and you can STILL waste hours every week doing work that AI could help handle.

Scheduling, Reminders, Follow-ups, Meeting preparation, Routine communication.
Administrative tasks.

Instead of asking:

“How can I fit more into my day?”

Start asking:

“What shouldn’t require my time at all?”

🔥 Block the work only YOU can do.

All right, IT specialist rant, right? It’s always been my firm belief that as a professional, I should impart some knowledge and awareness onto my clients. It is a form of teaching, and I’ll admit, I have also spent time as an actual educator, so it kind of works hand in hand. But there’s no better experience when servicing a client than you actually enlighten them on something to improve not only their ability to maintain their equipment, their service, their business, whatever it is they’re using the technology for that they’ve called you out to repair, so that in the future, they either don’t do it or they spend a little bit more time being thoughtful on how to manage it.

The $50 software for the $5,000 problem. This makes mention that I did that businesses typically look for cheaper solutions to solve really big problems. In the long run, it winds up costing them more to repair and to troubleshoot the problem that they initially had. It’s important that you do your research, find the appropriate solution to your problems, and execute it the right way.
