Purple was a design choice.
But it wasn’t the whole strategy.
I used purple for this client’s LinkedIn profile because the profile needed a visual identity people could recognize and remember.
But honestly…
A good-looking profile is not enough.
So I didn’t start with colors.
I started with the problem.
What should a visitor understand?
What should they remember?
And why should they care?
From the headline to the About section, Featured section and banner, I structured every part around the problems the client solves.
Then I brought the visual identity into the profile.
Purple became more than a color.
It became a consistent visual cue across the profile.
Because that’s how I look at personal branding:
Design should not just make your profile look better.
It should help people recognize you.
Positioning should not just explain what you do.
It should make your value clear.
And your profile shouldn’t feel like a collection of separate sections.
Everything should feel like it belongs to the same person.
That’s the difference between:
“Nice profile.”
and
“I remember this person.”
And that second one is what strong personal branding is supposed to create.
