Strength Training Tools for the Pros It is meant for use in training grounds, gyms and other places where there is need to monitor several athletes at once.

The company is devoted to development, production and sale of innovative, technologic tools to improve the athlete's performance in training, with special emphasis on strength and eccentric training. This includes traning devices (Exentrix) as well as systems to monitor and assess performance in strength and eccentric training (the SmartCoach product line). SmartCoach products comprise a sensor to

be installed on practically any training device (weight machines or free weights, as well as the innovative flywheel devices (kBox and Yoyo) and VersaPulleys). Planning of the training schedule and analysis of results is done on the SmartCoach software, which also provides real-time feedback to the athlete on the power or speed developed while training. The SmartCoach Pro version comprises a monitor (SmartCoach Pad) mounted on each training device and connected wirelessly to the main computer and software. Exentrix is a revolutionary training device which uses an electronic controlled motor to provide resistance and recreate the behaviour of any trainind device: weights, isoinertial devices, isokinetic machines, rubber bands and much more. Among the unique features of Exentrix, the possibility of setting the resistance separately for the concentric and eccentric phase, superimpose vibrations of random perturbations, and much more.

🎓 Congratulations, Stefano!

We are proud to celebrate Stefano Corlianò Nahi , who recently graduated in Mechanical Engineering from *Politecnico di Torino* with a thesis developed with the involvement of SmartCoach Technologies:

Force-Velocity Sensors in Flywheel Machines for Training in Microgravity Conditions.

Supervised by Prof. Laura Gastaldi, Full Professor at the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (DIMEAS), with .sc
& CEO of SmartCoach, as co-supervisor, the thesis explores **flywheel resistance training in microgravity and the conceptual design of a sensor for directly measuring force, velocity and mechanical power during exercise.

For SmartCoach, it's particularly rewarding to see flywheel technology, engineering and human performance research come together in a university thesis. 🚀
