Averted disaster on Christmas Eve. Son was charging his EV and we smelt something in garage.
Question for DMC. What’s the cause. Low gauge wire on extension cord. Too long of extension cord. Cord still wrapped on holder? Other cause? 110v US.
Of note, the GCFI breaker did trip during the day and he just reset it.

That’s not up to code is it? 15 wires going through one hole.
