The login isn’t always where the attack ends. Sometimes, it’s where it starts.

In our recent virtual discussion with ChannelPro Network, we talked about how attackers are shifting their focus beyond the login itself.

MFA and passkeys still matter. But once a valid session token is stolen, the attacker may already have what they need to stay inside.

That’s why the conversation needs to move from “How do we secure the login?” to “How do we secure what happens after it?”

A few days at ChannelPro LIVE, a lot of conversations, and plenty of coffee, hallway chats, and bourbon.

What stood out to me wasn’t just what happened on stage.

It was the conversations between sessions MSPs sharing what they’re working through, what’s changing, and what’s actually working for them.

That’s what makes events like this valuable.

The IT channel is still people solving the same problems in different rooms.

Your design is digital, Your printer is connected, The output is physical.

That creates a new attack surface for IP theft, manipulation and sabotage.

The question isn’t just “Can we print it?”
It’s “Can we trust what the printer is printing?”

MFA and passkeys still matter. But they only protect the login.

Once an attacker steals a valid session token, the login challenge may already be behind them.

That’s the shift MSPs need to think about: protecting the session, not just the sign-in.
