When it comes to work satisfaction employees are looking beyond money and benefits toward a new way of working. A way of working which prioritizes things like flexibility and autonomy, mental health, and work-life balance. In other words, a more human-centered way of working. The question we ask in our research is: how can employee benefits, and insurance specifically, evolve to support a more human-centered workplace? Enter the employee hierarchy of needs for a human-centered workplace. https://bit.ly/3NlscKW

How can benefits evolve to support a new, more human-centered workplace?

09/14/2022

As employers, employees, and workers of all kinds embrace flexibility, hybrid models of work, and explore new and dynamic employment arrangements and ways of working that prioritize well-being, happiness, and better work-life balance, the insurance industry must respond in part, designing products and services that can respond and evolve as quickly and with the same agility as these evolving work arrangements. Our latest report offers five research-inspired visions for how insurance can evolve to support this changing relationship to work.

As work-from-home policies have become more ubiquitous, it’s tempting for employers to treat remote work as a stand-in for flexibility. And while for some, the ability to work remotely has been liberating, for others it has made their jobs more draining. Still, according to our research, the majority whose jobs can be performed from home now consider the option to work from home table stakes when it comes to accepting a new job. This suggests that while not everyone may want to have a full-on remote job, they see having the option as indicative of other things — perhaps the sign of an employer who trusts them and respects their autonomy.

When it comes to choosing a framework for your product roadmap, there is, unfortunately, no one-size-fits-all framework. Different factors relating to things like the complexity of the product itself; the size, composition and maturity level of your team and and/or organization; and how you plan to use the framework and in what context will all need to be considered when deciding which framework is right for you. Check out our latest blog post to learn more about some commonly used prioritization frameworks and recommendations for when to use them most effectively. https://bit.ly/3mGfMll
