CITIA Citia- the first multi-purpose, multi-channel communications and content platform for the new Attent Citia is catalyzing a revolution.

Citia is something new — a Content Operating System — that finally brings the democratization of content to enterprise. Our customers are replacing expensive, single-purpose, old-school digitized media with multi-purpose, reusable, go everywhere, track everywhere, Citia Cards. Everything from websites to PowerPoints, content marketing, internal communications, sales support, and more. Everywhere f

rom Marketing, to HR, IR, Comm, Sales, product and more. Empowering Fortune 100 companies like GE, Viacom, Comcast, Mastercard and BP in 16 different industries. The results are revolutionary too. As a cloud-based platform, Citia provides massive proven value improvements—10X faster to make, 10X more effective and at 1/10th the cost. And, by containerizing content as standardized elements, Citia becomes the back-end that enables businesses' content to be directed by emerging AI/ML. With consumer-grade UX, anyone in a company can make Citia Cards, putting us on course to become a “universal content layer.” GE (our 1st customer) went from 1 to 48 teams in just our first year alone —
organically. Most importantly, we are positioned to dominate the ~$500bln category we just created. Citia has been featured in TechCrunch, Pando Daily, The Atlantic, Forbes, The New Yorker and The New York Times.

Lost in the early pandemic, this shoe was overdue to drop!
Mass media wasn't stupid-it was profitable.
Very.

Gradually it became more expensive and tech cost-enabled narrower strategies.

But somehow Personalization became the goal- not just a means. And IT is very expensive.

Not so much the software--the data acquisition, data management and headcount to run sophisticated dynamic systems.

Costs and problems low-balled, and glossed over by the data salespeople, marketers are now left beached.

The personalization evangelists? they've moved to new marks, and

Be sure to model out the real costs- money, time, staff and consultants- so you're not a part of the next headline.

Why does Gartner think 80% of marketers will abandon personalization efforts by 2025?

It's also the UX, people!
An under-factored reason Netflix kicked everybody's arse was---on Netflix you could actually find things to watch!

UX is also why Google won the search engine wars.

When Cable was invented, there was no need for an "up" signal, so interacting with programming menus was right up there with sending telegrams. If they had looked at the equivalent of Shopping Cart Abandonment they might have addressed this maybe 20 years earlier.

IMHO it's still a dog's breakfast. 86MM subscribers and basically everyone gets the same interfaces.

There's a lot more to buying SaaS than the license fee.
Million$$$ more.
The true cost?
It's the adoption cost, and it's poorly considered.

1. Many of the most seductive features require data that's prohibitively expensive (and increasingly illegal), if it's even getable at all. (salespeople ;-)

2. Data is a permanent commitment, not a one time purchase. You might need a few headcount in there...

3. Humans have a hard time changing behavior-- make that 10X harder for groups of humans--called Teams.
(new companies = WAAAY easier adoption)

4. Procurement rarely digs in and isn't trained in team workflow, and team skills, much of which is undocumented. Addressing the skills gap alone can be break the budget.

So, before you fall for the shiny best-case scenarios, carefully explore the human capital needed to make it work. And, look for the software that you can realistically adopt.

That doesn't cost you an army and a leg!

Everyone should be so honest--
THIS is the Digital Emperors Clothes.
Most companies, especially publishers, spent like drunken sailors on house-made tech. Believing that the efficiencies were always just around the next corner. That custom tech was the key to success. (Well, it was to whomever sold it)

Now, it's not build or buy-- it's RENT.

No-coding platforms can reduce digital costs by 90%.
That brings Digital waaay into the black.

DTC products want to have s*x.
Real Brands want to get married.

THIS is Content Marketing (thought not labeled so)
It’s Content as a Service
It’s not transactional
It’s not short-term
It’s on-brand and creates loyalty that will covert to life-long customer purchasing

But, it’s metrics don’t fit the quick-kill advertising model of the past. So companies won’t commit to similar substantial and maybe expensive innovations that will drive success in the coming Digital GLUT.

While stores remain closed, Nike’s apps have been critical to making sure that the company remains top of mind for customers. Heidi O’Neill, the brand’s president of consumer and marketplace…

My fellow Americans- and humans everywhere, it’s up to us all to contain this. The virus LITERALLY cannot spread without us.
If each of us changes just a bit, we can do this— but it’s going to take more than hand-washing.
So, the team and I put together this guide.
We hope you find even one thing useful. We hope you stay patient, engaged and safe. And keep each other safe.
We are all in this together. We get out of this together.
