5 years ago, cyber barely reached the boardroom. The risk clock now moves in months.

Kathryn Henry, former CIO and lululemon director, on why boards planning in five year increments are already behind and what getting ahead of it actually looks like.

Nearly everyone in compliance is quietly sitting with the same question. If AI makes the decisions, what's left for me?

We built ours around the opposite idea. It's not there to take your judgment away, it's there to make it sharper.

A "high risk" rating on a vendor tells you to worry. It doesn't tell you what to do, or why the score landed where it did.

Most compliance teams can already sort vendors into low, medium and high. The harder question is the one the board actually asks: which factor drove the rating, is that normal for a vendor like this, and what did you do about it.

Third-Party Risk Intel attaches the reasoning and the evidence to every vendor file, so a "high" becomes a decision you can defend instead of a colour you have to explain.

It's also one more signal that stops sitting on its own, which is the whole idea behind connected compliance.

βš–οΈ A general counsel and a compliance officer often make the same call off two different versions of the truth, and it really matters if they get it wrong.

So we're pulling what both need into one place.

Over 200 people packed our session at in London yesterday. πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

They came for the question every risk and audit team is chewing on right now, and Scott Bridgen and Osama Abbas took it head-on. Everyone's been handed an AI assistant and told it was an agent, so what people really want to know is whether it does the work or just answers and stops.

Today the conversation kept going. Scott and Bram Ketting ran a roundtable on responsible AI. And across town at the Chartered IIA Internal Audit Conference, Greig Allen spoke to a packed room of internal auditors on the same theme.

The same three points kept surfacing.

Governance tends to arrive after adoption, not before.

Blanket restrictions just push people toward shadow AI, so clear guardrails beat hard bans.

And for every agent doing the work, people wanted a second one keeping watch, with a human holding the final call.

Thanks to everyone who filled those rooms. πŸ™Œ

πŸ” The SEC clawed back a record $8.2 billion last year, and barely any of it came from dramatic fraud. It was mostly small stuff nobody joined up. A missed filing or a conflict no one flagged.

That's what fragmented data does and it's the thing we're trying to kill. One view and those gaps have nowhere to hide.

πŸ“ˆ A CEO change costs far more than the incoming CEO's package.

New Diligent Market Intelligence data puts median granted S&P 500 CEO pay past $18 million in 2025, with sign-on bonuses at a six-year high.

But once a new chief is named, the rest of the senior team turns into a retention bill that can run into the tens of millions, and with turnover accelerating, boards are footing it more often.

Nobody in compliance is short on information these days, they're drowning in it. The real worry isn't missing a document, it's that the one signal that mattered got buried under a hundred that didn't.

That's why we built our AI the way we did. It gets through the noise so your team can focus on the calls that need a human.

Most boards route AI oversight straight to the audit committee. Mary Lee Sharp thinks that's a mistake.

As EVP of Human Capital at Beneficial State Bank, she argues AI adoption is a workforce and org-design problem first, not just a risk one and belongs in front of the full board.

Where does AI oversight sit on yours?
