..My take on Daddy Freeze's controversial tithing saga;
Freeze point implies that tithing is practiced under law and Jesus himself rebuked the pharisees about it. People are meant to give CHEERFULLY to the finished work as regards to salvation for what Jesus did on Calvary. Which can as well be tagged as "unmerited favor". Why are some African pastors compelling congregation to give tithe using the old testament law to rob people of the available grace of Jesus.
If the message of GRACE is preached bountifully well; people will excitingly give beyond tithing to continuously propagate the work of the kingdom.
Pastors from Africa are propagating their pockets and building more churches to rake in more money, buying private jets, living flamboyant lifestyles, building hospitals and schools that are far beyond the affordability of their members and the economical life of their members seem not to have a turn around.
Have we ever asked our so call men of God if their churches adopts any "corporate social responsibility" project in a way to support and give back to the society? Many companies across the globe does their CSR yearly and yet they aren't preaching Jesus but they adopted a cheerful lifestyle.
It will be nice if we trash these out;
How many of the church members of these flamboyant pastors do ride in those exotic private jets they own? are their schools tuition fee affordable to attend by the least and commoners? Do their church members access free health care at their hospitals? 60% of Nigerians are approximately Christians, upon all their kingdom commitments and givings; how come Nigeria went into recession???
How come Nigeria is rated one of the impoverished nation on earth among-st other African countries? it goes on and on. It is so clear now that Africans need a total change of thinking pattern and it all begins by getting rid of our ignorance and stop ascribing all our unfortunate incidence to be spiritual.
If the monies lavished on self-enriching and servicing of private luxury lifestyle are properly channeled into industrialization, in equal proportion to the amount of churches scattered across the country, no one will raise an eyebrow. The church is meant to correct the menace in the society, but reverse is the case!!!
Moreover, none of our pastors have been able to use biblical quote to debunk Daddy Freeze on the subject matter of tithing because it will affect their glutton-taste of being super-rich by miking their congregations....What a shame! Woe to men of dogs whom keep portraying to be of God!!! They are simply into hypnotics business i.e. brainwashing people!!!
They aren't ready to embrace the TRUTH even while it is staring right at their face!!! If you think your points about "not tithing" are factual enough go to the media and tell it to the people. It is an open platform and everyone is eager to know and be taught the TRUTH !!!
