So he turned around for the first look before she could tap him on the shoulder...he was toooo excited to see his bride! But can you blame him?!

First looks are one of my favorite parts of a wedding day, and this one was no exception. Such a perfect moment in front of the Brooklyn Bridge, watched lovingly by their kids 💕

I can totally understand wanting to wait to see each other until you walk down the aisle. But DID YOU KNOW that first looks free you up on your wedding day so you can enjoy your more of your party? When you choose to see each other before your ceremony, you can knock out all your portraits, family photos, wedding party photos, etc. before your ceremony so you don't have to miss most of your cocktail hour. Just some food for thought. I'll always help you pick the best photo opportunities that are right for YOU.

One of the things I love about my job is that I can put my theatre degree to use, in so many ways!!! But the most fun part is when I get to pretend I have no idea these fiancés have big engagement parties they're about to walk into right after their proposal! After their beautiful garden proposal in the West Village, I bounced around with V + B to take some engagement photos and even stopped at their apartment to take pics with their little pup!

Then, I wished them all the happiness, we parted ways, and BOOM. I showed up about an hour later at their engagement party (photos to come later)! I'm a ninja like that. It's so much fun to be a part of these surprise parties. I feel right at home, as I grew up with my parents throwing surprise parties left and right 🤭

Sneak peeks from the first proposal of the month in Central Park! K went ALL OUT for this proposal. He told J that he had a work event in NYC and they were having a fancy work party at the Loeb Boathouse in . He even created an 'official' flyer for the event and got his coworkers on board! I saw the flyer. It was legit. I appreciate creativity of all kinds and I especially love adding to my list of epic proposal schemes so I have stories when people ask me if I have "seen any elaborate proposals."

A few more Central Park proposals in the books for this month. We're about to see some epic fall colors in our parks. Don't wait to book your photo session! All your fave photographers are booking up!

This wedding was such a special way to catapult going full-time as a photographer! They got married at their alma mater, and continued their festivities at (epic reception photos to come - the party did NOT stop). The love for their school, their families and each other was palpable. And Fordham University Church is absolutely stunning. So many more beautiful photos to come! Congratulations on almost 2 months of marriage!

A new season calls for a new check-in post! If you're new here, HIYA 👋 I'm Sarah. I'm an NYC-based photographer specializing in all things love. From proposals and engagements to weddings and City Hall elopements, I'm your planning assistant and hype girl with a camera in hand. A few fun facts about me:

‼️I recently left my full-time job to take my photography business full time! (spooky but exciting 👻)

The first fall colors of Prospect Park have made their appearance and they will NOT last long! If you want Central Park vibes for your engagement photos but without the tourists or the crowds, Prospect Park is your best bet! It’s the same designer as Central Park and you will feel like you’re living in your very own fall wonderland 🍂

How it started ➡️➡️ how it's going. It's amazing what can change in just 4 years. Making my way up to New Haven for H & N's engagement photos in East Rock in 2023, blending seamlessly into their gorgeous wedding in Edgerton Park (capturing them on the dance floor at a few more of their friends' weddings along the way 🥰), and getting the opportunity to celebrate their newest addition to their family has been the most incredible honor. These two gave me some of my earliest east coast / NYC photo opportunities and I am forever grateful to them, and of course to one of my besties (she knows who she is) for recommending her friends use me for their photographable moments. Referrals are everything 🤭
