Today we celebrate an important marker on the road to women's equality- women's right to vote.

While the 19th amendment did not guarantee voting rights for ALL women (the fight for universal suffrage would continue for decades afterward for our American sisters of African, Asian, and Native American descent to also be granted what was considered an inalienable right for men), it was a historic milestone and a step forward for women's suffrage.

Do you know the dates of these other important milestones for women's rights?
-Equal Rights Amendment
-Equal Credit Opportunity Act
-Roe v Wade
-First Female Vice President in Office

It took (white) women 131 years to get the same right to vote as men in our country. The World Economic Forum predicts it will take 268 years to close the economic gender gap (COVID-19 has set us back an additional 36 years!).

This is why we are so committed to helping women achieve financial freedom and parity.
