Business continuity and business resilience aren’t the same thing.
Continuity asks: How do we keep operating when something goes wrong?
Resilience asks a bigger question: What are we doing every day to make disruption less damaging in the first place?
Resilience isn’t a project you finish. It’s a process you build into the business. Learn more in our newest blog @ https://hubs.ly/Q04tLz950

How confident are you that your business could recover from a significant disruption?
Now, next question: What is that confidence based on?
A backup that hasn’t been restored in years?
A recovery process that’s never been tested?
Critical knowledge that lives with one employee?

Business continuity gaps are as easy to miss as security vulnerabilities—and just as likely to show up under pressure and when you least expect. That’s why preparedness needs to be measured, tested, and continually improved.

When was the last time your organization actually tested its recovery plan? Not reviewed it. Not confirmed that backups were running.
But actually tested whether your business could recover.
Technology environments change constantly. A recovery plan that worked two years ago may not accurately reflect the business you're operating today. That's why recovery testing shouldn't be something you save for an emergency.
A comprehensive recovery exercise should generally happen at least annually—and again after significant changes to your technology environment. Because the worst time to discover your recovery plan is outdated is when you need it. Learn what your organization should be testing in our new blog @ https://hubs.ly/Q04tK2DQ0

How resilient is your business?
There’s no single technology you can buy that suddenly makes the answer “very.”
Business resilience develops over time—from reacting when problems arise, to having protections in place, to testing recovery, to eventually making continuity part of the ongoing business strategy.
The important thing isn’t being perfect today. It’s knowing where you are—and knowing what you should improve next.

Your backups ran successfully last night. That's good news. But what about recovering them fast enough to keep your business operating?
Backups protect your data. Recovery testing determines whether your systems, applications, processes, and people can put that data back to work when the business needs it most.
That's an important distinction—and one many organizations don't discover until they're already dealing with an outage or cyberattack.
Our latest article explains why recovery testing deserves a much bigger role in your business continuity strategy.

Imagine trying to answer these questions during an outage:
Who’s in charge?
Which systems do we restore first?
Where’s the incident response plan?
Who has the emergency contact list?
Where the heck is our MSP?

Don't wait for technology to fail before making a plan. The best IT roadmaps are built long before they're needed. Disruption is bound to happen sometimes, but with a solid IT plan in place, guided by your MSP, your organization can avoid the worst-case scenarios (and the biggest bills).
