My pivot is an exciting and creative one. I'm looking forward to winter.

In the meantime, I wanted to share a new passion of mine: luxury fountain pens and stationery.

This beautiful Sakura Urushi Maki-e Pen was a recent investment from Yoseka Stationery, and I fell in love with this form of pen art on my trip to Japan.

The method of Maki-e is ancient and showcases the skill and artistry of Japanese artists.

She writes like a dream and makes my journaling and daily planning more luxurious and enjoyable.

Self-care and business are on point in Japan & South Korea.

Here are 6 things they taught this female entrepreneur:

1. Be intentional about the small things. Be in the moment with my skincare regime, when I'm eating, as I'm creating.

2. Being a multi-hyphenate creative is no excuse for poor performance. Whatever I'm doing, strive to do it well.

3. Take pride in each creation. Whether I am writing N ebook, designing and self-publishing a journal, creating content or building a website, be proud of my work.

4. Quality over quantity in all things. When shopping, spending time, building relationships personally and professionally, and even choosing food options, focus on quality. It can be challenging but not impossible.

5. Like cherry blossom season, moments can disappear, so make sure I am present in them.

6. Taking care of my appearance and my vessel is part of self-care. I may not have Korean glass skin, but I can be more intentional in how I look after mine.
