Wondering what to expect during your internet installation? We're making sure you know the details! Here's a quick overview of your Flume Fiber Installation in 7 Steps:
1. Property Walkthrough: The technician maps the best fiber route with you before any work begins.
2. Microtrenching: A narrow channel is cut from the street to your home, and protective conduit with fiber cable is run through it.
3. Lawn Restoration: The trench is filled and sod replaced, returning your yard to its original condition.
4. NID Box Installation: A weatherproof box is mounted on your exterior wall as the link between the outdoor and indoor lines.
5. Indoor Line & Nokia ONT: The interior cable connects to the ONT, which converts the fiber signal for your devices.
6. Network Splice Connection: Your line is tied into Flume's network at the street-level splice case.
7. Final Activation & Onboarding: The technician confirms the line is live, connects your devices, and verifies your speeds.
