Yet another fun set of animations. Tried to keep it on the serious side but it was too hard to pass up having the incoming call be from Casper the friendly ghost 😬 🤣

Love the stuff we learn as we work on these animations. A lot of the world lives a simpler life like that of the Ni-Vanuatu. It serves as a reminder that seemingly simple everyday requirements for most of us can be daunting for others because of their traditions/ the environments they were raised in and other factors.

A different style from an SLV animation back in January. For the background I looped 5 images or so of blood/ gore stock images which felt appropriate given the topic of overfishing but also gave the animation a vibrant look. For the illustrations we went with minimal colors and used gradients of that same gory background and white lines to make them pop off the reds. I’d like to do another animation like this albeit with perhaps a different color palette!
