For success, networking is very important. For this, we have to remember most importantly the "Three-Bones-of-Networking" as follows:
Bone #1. What do you want and who can help you attain them?
=> Try to know what you want and find the people (network) who can help you. Go to
them - seek for their help.
Bone #2. Jawbone: the two components: 1) Competency 2) Humility
1) Competency:
a) Do you what you are talking about?
b) Have you done your research?
2) Humility: You could know everything in the world; but if people do not like you, they will
not help you.
Bone #3. Backbone: Persist - persist - persist -->-->--> The most common word in networking is the word "Know". You will hear this word over and over again. For example, for solving a particular issue, you contacted a good number of people; let's say 10. Remember! Out of these 10 people 1 or 2 or at best 3 people will contact you through email. The pathetic scenario is among these 3 people 2 might just say, "Good luck!" or something like that. Eventually, you will get nothing from these 2 people's emails.
But, 1 might write you a huge email detailing everything! S/he may share her/his phone number. Maybe you will get the opportunity to talk to him/her for long hours - 1/2/3/4 hours! It's huge! Isn't it? Yes, it is!
So! Be persistent! And this is the final key to success. You will be deprived from ALMOST EVERYWHERE! Remember! "ALMOST everywhere" - NOT "EVERYWHERE"! This is the natural theory. Attraction! Yest Persistence grows your attraction to your goal. And you reach your goal for sure finally!!!
Good luck!!!
