How to Delete Apple ID Permanently

Thinking about deleting your Apple ID? Before you do, make sure you understand what happens to your iCloud data, subscriptions, purchases, backups, and other Apple services.

Here’s a quick step-by-step guide:

Step 1. Go to Apple’s Privacy page and sign in with the Apple ID you want to delete.

Step 2. Select Request to delete your account under the account deletion section.

Step 3. Choose a reason for deleting your Apple Account, then click Continue.

Step 4. Review the important information about deleting your Apple ID and click Continue.

Step 5. Read Apple’s deletion terms and conditions carefully, then click Continue.

Step 6. Choose how you want to receive updates about your Apple ID deletion request and click Continue.

Step 7. Save the access code provided by Apple, then click Continue.

Step 8. Enter the access code and click Continue. After your identity is verified, Apple will process your account deletion request.

Google Messages just made checking timestamps and replying to texts easier.

Google Messages is rolling out new swipe gestures that let you see timestamps for all messages at once and quickly reply to specific texts.

Step 1. Open a conversation in the Google Messages app.
Step 2. Swipe left anywhere in the chat to reveal timestamps for all messages at once, along with RCS encryption status.
Step 3. To reply to a specific message, swipe right on that message bubble.
Step 4. Tap a message if you want to check its delivery status.
Step 5. To access more options, long-press a message to see Reply, Forward, Copy, Star, Delete, Select more, and Info.
Step 6. Update Google Messages if you don't see the new gestures yet. The feature is still rolling out and may not be available to everyone.

⚠️ If you're used to swiping left to reply, it may take a little time to adjust. But being able to see every timestamp with one swipe is a handy upgrade.

Random Calendar Invites Could Be Phishing Scams
Getting a meeting invite you don’t recognize? Don’t click the links or attachments—even if the invite appears directly in your calendar.

1. Check the sender’s email address carefully.
2. Don’t click suspicious links, QR codes, or attachments.
3. Avoid clicking Decline, as this may confirm that your email is active.
4. Delete suspicious invitations and report them as spam.
5. In Google Calendar, go to Settings → General → Event Settings → Add invitations to my calendar and choose Only if the sender is known or When I respond to the invitation in email.
Step 6. In Outlook, review your Calendar and Auto Accept/Decline settings and disable automatic processing of meeting requests.
