ARTIST PSA: much like the algorithm treats my page, I have been ghosted so much this year, I'm considering adding a "paranormal activity" category to my CV!

You respond to their calls, provide your images, bios, statements...blood type...then nothing. Not even a polite "Thanks, but no thanks."

The only thing more difficult than getting into an exhibition is getting them to tell you that you didn't get in the exhibition even if they set a date to do so.

Now excuse me while I check my inbox for the UMPTEENTH time today.

History. Art. Legacy.

Next Friday, Harriet: A Taste of Freedom opens in Auburn, New York—the city Harriet Tubman chose as her home and final resting place.

I'm deeply honored to have my work included alongside more than 40 contemporary artists in this powerful exhibition, curated by acclaimed artist Larry Poncho Brown.

After its acclaimed debut in Maryland, the exhibition now expands into a citywide experience, connecting multiple cultural institutions through art inspired by Harriet Tubman's extraordinary life and enduring legacy. Visitors will experience works presented at the Cayuga Museum of History & Art, along with installations at the Schweinfurth Art Center, Equal Rights Heritage Center, Seward House Museum, and Willard Memorial Chapel.

Art has the power to preserve memory, inspire courage, and spark conversations that transcend generations. It is a privilege to contribute my voice to that ongoing story.

If you're anywhere near Auburn, NY, I hope you'll experience this remarkable exhibition.

Thirty-five years.

5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and now Thirty-five.

Its a funny thing. Does time have a look, taste, smell, a certain sound or texture?

More than half our lives spent together, and this anniversary almost slipped by without either of us realizing it. We have not forgotten each other, nor is there a lack of love or attention for one another, but perhaps because we no longer see life together in years. We simply live it.

When God is at the center, and two perfectly imperfect people keep choosing one another day after day, time has a way of fading into the background and becomes irrelevant.

Maybe that's what love does over time. It stops announcing itself and simply becomes home.

Thirty-five years. Still grateful. Still growing. Still in love. Still in awe. ❤️ -Ohso
