Returning to Krewe of BOO! this year after last year’s big hit: Jambalaya Girl spice mix packets featuring custom packaging designed by Midnight Boheme!

These little throws bring together two things New Orleans does exceptionally well: celebrating and feeding people. I loved giving the packaging its Halloween wardrobe while keeping that unmistakable Louisiana flavor front and center.

Eat, drink & be scary! 🍹🎃

An iconic New Orleans Hurricane gets a Halloween twist in this year’s Pat O’Brien’s Krewe of BOO! throw cup, designed by Midnight Boheme.

For this piece, I paired Pat O’s familiar personality with playful Halloween artwork to create something that belongs in the parade—and in your cup collection afterward.

Keep your hands up when the Pat O’Brien’s float rolls by Saturday. This one’s worth catching!

Designed to raise the dead—and get them running! 🧟‍♀️

Making its debut at this year’s New Orleans Zombie Run: a brand-new inflatable arch featuring custom Midnight Boheme artwork!

I also brought the arch into this year’s giveaway T-shirt design, connecting the race-day entrance with a wearable keepsake. Seeing artwork move from a digital layout to something runners can pass beneath — and wear home — is one of my favorite parts of this work.

A collectible with bite. 🧛🍷

This year’s Krewe of BOO! throw cup celebrates the 50th anniversary of Interview with the Vampire—1976–2026—with vampire-inspired artwork designed by Midnight Boheme.

Combining the anniversary theme with parade sponsor branding made this a particularly fun piece to sink my teeth into. A little literary history, a little New Orleans darkness, and a keepsake to take home.

Watch for it along the parade route this Saturday. Who’s hoping to catch one? 🦇

Midnight Boheme's Halloween magic made it into print! 🎃✨

I’m thrilled to be featured in the new issue of Where Y’at Magazine as one of “The Makers of Halloween”—spotlighting the artists and creatives behind New Orleans’ most imaginative season.

As Laura Kuhn, the designer behind Midnight Boheme and Creative Director for Krewe of BOO!, I’ve had the pleasure of helping shape the parade’s visual identity since 2011. From artwork and event graphics to merchandise and promotional campaigns, it’s a joy to create designs that become part of our city’s Halloween traditions.

So much of that work happens long before the costumes come out and the floats hit the streets. Seeing those creative efforts recognized alongside such talented local makers makes this spooky season extra special.
