What does savings of 2% on equipment 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 look like?
On a $34M highway job, that could mean over $170K added to the bottom line.

How do you reap those savings? Not by buying cheaper machines. Not by cutting crews. 𝗕𝘆 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀.

Most construction profit is won or lost in the field, and efficient dispatching is the key. The contractors pulling ahead in 2026 are dispatching with real operational data: live telematics, confirmed availability, and one source of truth the office and the field both trust.

The guide from Karen Weurfl breaks down what the best construction dispatch software looks like: the features that drive real operational returns, and the questions worth asking before you commit.

The most influential construction CFOs are helping to shape next year's outcomes. From equipment investments and working capital management to succession planning and growth strategy, CFOs provide the forward-looking insight that drives better business decisions.

As another CFMA Annual Conference wraps up, it's a fitting time to revisit this conversation with CFMA President & CEO Neil Shah on the evolving role of construction finance leaders.

Today's CFOs are influencing far more than financial reporting. They're helping guide decisions around equipment investment, working capital, succession planning, growth strategy, and operational performance.

One theme stood out throughout the discussion: great decisions start with data you can trust. When the field and back office operate from the same source of truth, finance leaders can turn numbers into forward-looking insights that help the entire business perform better.

Many contractors are facing increased pressure to deploy cameras and telematics programs quickly, often driven by insurance or captive requirements, risk management initiatives, or safety goals.

But before you evaluate another fleet-only solution, it's worth asking a bigger question:
𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗼𝗿 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝗻-𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗲𝘁?

Construction companies don't just manage trucks. They manage heavy equipment, trailers, attachments, tools, and the jobsite activity that connects them all.

When procurement decisions are made solely to satisfy an immediate compliance requirement with a limited scope, contractors can unintentionally create disconnected systems, duplicate data, and additional administrative burden down the road.

In this latest blog, Ryan Lunar explores how contractors can meet today's safety and compliance objectives while building a more connected foundation for fleet, equipment, and asset management tomorrow.

🚨 Tenna has officially landed on Construction Executive's 2026 Top Tech™ report.

A lot has gone into earning this recognition. Over the past year, Tenna launched TennaCAM 2.0 HE 360 AI—a purpose-built heavy equipment camera system with AI-detection—and Dispatch Command Center, a centralized hub that brings real-time visibility and control to every dispatch decision.

Both reflect Tenna's belief that safety hardware and operational software are more powerful when they exist on the same platform with connected data.

When it comes to construction organizations, every role needs different information.

The field needs to know where equipment is, what's available and when. The shop needs maintenance history and work orders. Finance needs accurate job costs.

Every role. Every department. Every need—different.
𝙏𝙚𝙣𝙣𝙖 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙗𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨 𝙞𝙩 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙩𝙤𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧.

📍 𝗙𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱: Know where every asset is, get the right equipment to the right jobsite, and access everything you need from a jobsite-ready mobile app.
🔧 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝗽: Automate preventive maintenance, manage work orders, and track parts inventory.
📊 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲: Control equipment costs, improve job profitability, and generate defensible financial reporting.
🛡️ 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲: Safety tools for on and off the jobsite, AI-powered solutions, video telematics, coaching, and real-time visibility across the entire fleet.

Fuel costs aren’t just high right now—they’re unpredictable, inconsistent, and often not reliably tracked or measured.

In this blog, Seth Derstine breaks down how contractors are turning fuel from a reactive expense into a controllable performance metric by connecting it directly to equipment activity.

⚙️ Understand fuel consumption at the asset level
🔎 Uncover and curb hidden waste from excessive idling
🖇️ Connect fuel usage to assets, jobsites, crews, and real work in the field
📊 Use data to drive more informed and efficient fleet decisions

When fuel data is connected, it’s not just a cost—it’s an opportunity.

❓ How do you actually prevent incidents in construction?
❌ Documenting them after the fact doesn't help.

From real-time alerts and driver fatigue detection to 360° visibility around heavy equipment, today’s AI-powered camera systems help contractors stop incidents before they happen—not after.

In Geoffrey Rodgers' most recent blog, he explains how AI dash cams can reduce accidents by:

➡️ Identifying unsafe behaviors with real-time AI alerts
➡️ Reducing risk with fatigue and distraction detection
➡️ Eliminating blind spots with 360° visibility around equipment
➡️ Improving safety with connected video and data insights

If you’re focused on reducing incidents, lowering claims, and protecting your crews, this is a must-read.

Last week, some members of Team Tenna brought their TennaMINIs to the Distribution Center for an action-packed Take Your Child to Work Day!

The kids kicked things off by learning about Tenna hardware and even put TennaBLE Beacons to the test for durability. They designed their own logos and tried their hand at IT troubleshooting.

From there, they wrote thank-you notes for customers, got a budgeting lesson by “purchasing” packaging materials, and jumped into fulfilling and packing "customer” orders.

The day wrapped up with a visit from the Tenna Truck—and an impromptu dance party in the back.

Safe to say, the kids had a great time learning about Tenna, experiencing what their adults do, and having fun along the way. Thanks to all our team members who helped make the day so memorable!
