Your crews are on-site. The work is getting done. So why do you find out six weeks later that the job wasn't profitable?

This is the WIP trap in wireless contracting: Labor hours are logged at the end of the day. Or the end of the week. Or whenever someone remembers. Activity codes get approximated — or just grabbed from the last job because it's easier. The actual cost of work in progress accumulates invisibly while your project looks fine in the system.

By the time accounting closes the month, you're looking at history. The decisions you needed to make were 30 days ago.
