Our customer who is a Professional long distance Big Rig Driver brought in a COBRA 29LTD CLASSIC 40-CHANNEL CB RADIO that had some issues. We troubleshot the radio & found numerous bad solder connections & bad S-Meter lamp & noisy controls & switches & flickering display. We repaired ALL issues & cleaned up the radio & k***s using our Ultrasonic Cleaner & performed a good Peak-n-Tune & paired the radio w/ a New ASTATIC American Flag noise canceling mic.

Our customer picked up his RANGER RCI-2995DX 10-METER BASE STATION this afternoon. After repairs & alignment, I made several DX contacts on 10M SSB to Venezuela, Puerto Rico, & South America with 5X9 signal reports! Very Powerful Radio! Another Very Happy Customer!

Shipped out a very nice CONNEX CX-3300HP from our showroom to a CALL in customer in PA. Our customer who is a Professional Big Rig Driver is getting a very nice CONNEX RADIO with upgraded dual MOSFET’S and a RANGER SRA-198 noice canceling mic and upgraded DC power cord. Finished repairs on a SUPERSTAR 121 RADIO today! This popular CB radio is known as the Hunter’s Special known for its Low-Med-High Bands w/ 120 Channels. This radio was donated to us & was in rough condition! We cleaned it up quite a bit & performed all repairs, alignments, & Peak-n-Tuning. Another CONNEX CX-3300 RADIO repair to go thru tomorrow. Sat this radio on the bench just before going home. We will have it finished up tomorrow. This is NOT the HP High Power radio and does not have the large heatsinks on the rear. This one goes in our front sales showroom when cleaned up & repairs and Peak-n-Tuning are completed.

We finished repairs on a nice, very clean, RANGER RCI-2995 DX 10-METER BASE STATION today. Issue was NO TRANSMIT. After troubleshooting we found, Someone had gone into the radio adjusting all the pots to get more power out & caused the RF final circuitry to burn out & fail. We repaired the entire RF Final circuitry & carefully realigned the RF transmitter back to spec using the Service Manual & got all working again like brand new. While repairing we also had NO Modulation & found customer also had a bad mic. Replaced with another New RCI factory OEM mic & now All works well. Customer & his wife drove 5.5 hrs (one way) from Hamptonville, NC (near Wilkesboro) this Saturday afternoon just to check us out & left with a bunch of radios & accessories! We are becoming Eastern NC’s Radio Candy Store on Steroids!
