It’s funny, teacher appreciation day/week comes at the END of the school year. At first, I thought that was odd, but now I fully grasp it. I mean, May brings to an end months and months of hard work and educating, so it makes sense that we say thanks after all the toil is over. So, thank you to all my great teachers from the past and those who are still making it happen. I’m especially thankful for for 28 years of what I can only call some of the best teaching around. Each day, I get to hear about how she is still learning new techniques to keep kids engaged in how she is still investing in their lives by lending an ear and being supportive. It is amazing and I’m privileged to get to be along for the ride!
