๐๐ก๐๐ญ ๐ข๐ ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐๐ก๐ข๐ฅ๐๐ซ๐๐ง ๐๐๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐๐๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐๐ฎ๐ฅ... ๐๐ฎ๐ญ ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐๐ง๐ ๐ฎ๐ฉ ๐๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ญ๐ฒ?
Many of us spend years preparing our children for the futureโgood schools, good grades, good careers, and a stable life. We celebrate when they become achievers, professionals, and independent adults. We want them to have opportunities we never had, or even more than we have. We want them to thrive.
But what happens when success is not enough?
Why are so many young people today struggling with anxiety, burnout, loneliness, and a lack of purpose despite having everything the world says they need?
Could it be that while we prepared them for a career, we failed to prepare them for eternity?
We prepare our children for college, careers, and financial security. But are we preparing them to know who they are, whose they are, and why they were created?
Our children were created by God, designed by God, and meant to live according to His purpose. No amount of achievement, wealth, recognition, or status can fill a heart that was made for Him.
A career can provide an income. Accomplishments can earn applause. Success can open doors. But none of these can provide the identity, peace, security, and purpose that only Christ can give.
Perhaps this is why so many are exhausted. They have learned how to succeed, but not why they exist.
As parents, we are not merely called to raise childrenโwe are called to disciple them. We are the stewards God has entrusted with precious souls. Our calling goes beyond helping our children become successful in the eyes of the world; it is to lead them toward a life rooted in Christ.
Because one day, grades will fade. Careers will change. Status will disappear. But a life anchored in Christ will endure.
The greatest measure of our parenting is not the applause of the world, but a life filled with purpose, grounded in truth, and fully surrendered to Christ.
Let's not only prepare our children for the world.
Let's prepare them for a life with God.
