The next era of lunar exploration starts long before launch.

NASA's Artemis program is helping pave the way for future missions to the Moon and beyond. To prepare for those journeys, engineers use simulation to model and test complex spacecraft systems before they ever leave Earth.

Using MATLAB, Simulink, and Simscape, teams can evaluate mission-critical algorithms, power systems, and controls in a virtual environment, helping reduce risk and accelerate development.

Looking back at a special piece of MathWorks history.

In 2006, NASA astronaut Dr. Nicholas Patrick brought a MATLAB disc with him on his journey to space. Today, that photo is proudly displayed at MathWorks headquarters as a reminder of the engineers, scientists, researchers, and astronauts who use technology to push the boundaries of what's possible.

Earlier this year, we welcomed the Museum of Science, Boston to MathWorks HQ, where they transformed our space into a pop-up planetarium.

Experiences like these help bring space science a little closer to home and inspire curiosity about the world beyond our planet.
