Momentum is building across the network!
This year, each TTAC institution is designating a Commercialization Counselor to serve as a front door for faculty and students looking to explore innovation, collaboration, and translational research. These counselors will be activated within their campus research offices, making it easier for researchers to navigate resources, get connected, and move new ideas toward impact.
Meet David Jones at Tennessee State University!
David shares his goals in this role:
"In my first year as a commercialization counselor, my primary goal is to build a strong foundation by developing a consistent pipeline of high potential ideas, strengthen my ability to assess market viability, and build strong relationships with researchers, founders, and industry partners. I also hope to advance the current projects TSU already has under their belt. I ultimately want to establish myself as a trusted advisor who can effectively bridge the gap between innovation and real world application."
