Meet Laura Deleot: creative thinker, systems architect and quiet force behind Circa.

As Co-Founder, COO and Executive Creative Director, Laura has had a hand in shaping just about every part of Circa over the past 11 years, from the work we put into the world to the systems that keep it all moving.

She’s a designer by trade, an entrepreneur by nature and a mentor at heart. (Fun fact: her first business started in college, taking family portraits and developing them herself in a dark room.)

Around here, Laura is known for asking the right questions, making complicated things feel simple and bringing a steady hand to whatever comes her way.

We wouldn’t be Circa without her.

Q3 kept us busy in all the right ways.

We launched websites, wrapped brand guidelines, saw Circa’s work in print in the Frist Art Museum member magazine and in the Innovate Nashville book, and attended the Brand New Conference where we filled our creative cups (and our camera rolls).

A pretty good quarter, if we do say so ourselves.

Now, on to Q4. Let’s finish this thing strong.

Meet Emily Little.

As Brand Director, Emily brings a curious, holistic approach to building brands that work. She has a knack for stepping into complex or ambiguous challenges, finding the opportunity within them, and turning big-picture ideas into thoughtful, actionable solutions.

Working across brand strategy, identity, digital experiences, and activation, Emily connects the dots between how a brand looks, sounds, and functions. She’s equally comfortable shaping creative direction, mapping a better user experience, working through a technical challenge, or helping a team find its way forward. Whatever the challenge, she brings a healthy dose of curiosity, a deep understanding of the craft, and a belief that the best solutions balance the needs of the business with the needs of the people it serves.

Over her 10 years at Circa, Emily has had the opportunity to work across more than 130 clients, leading teams, growing client partnerships, and building systems that make creative work better and more efficient. She’s especially energized by the messy middle, when something isn’t quite working and there’s an opportunity to rethink, reframe, and make it better.

When she’s not working, Emily is training for the NYC Marathon, getting her hands dirty in a ceramics studio, or hunting for the next greatest pastry.

When Manuel Zeitlin Architects transitioned from founder-owned to employee-owned, the new co-owners partnered with Circa to subtly transition their branding to reflect these changes and distinguish the entity from its founder, Manuel Zeitlin.

We're grateful to Ethan and the MZA Architecture • Interiors team for trusting us with a brand evolution that honored their legacy while preparing them for what's next.

A sign is often the first interaction someone has with a business.

Seeing ours go up next to our studio neighbor's Firma Studio is a reminder that branding doesn't happen in isolation.

The strongest brands become part of something bigger. They shape the places we share, support the businesses around them, and contribute to the character of a community.

We're grateful to have our name on the building, and even more grateful to share it with neighbors and clients who believe thoughtful design is worth investing in.
