When buying a used laptop, compare voltage and amp output
on the charger and on the laptop.

A Dell Precision M4600 has a sticker on the bottom and beneath the Service Tag & Express Service Code
it says:
Dell Precision M4600
19.5V --- 9.23A
It shipped with a 19.5V --- 4.62A charger.

I tried to power it on with the battery, but it did not have a charge.
Then I looked at the bottom of the laptop to see output power requirements.

I recommend higher amperage to ensure a cooler power supply and optimal charge time. If you get a charger with amperage less than your original power supply, you risk overheating your charger, burning it, and in many cases, your device will stop functioning and/or charging.

It is okay to use a higher amp charger with the correct voltage.
It is not okay to use a lower amp charger with the correct voltage

I got 19.5V output with 4.62A (not enough power)
I had 19.5V output with 7.70A (still not enough power)
I needed 19.5V output with 9.23A (I ordered this one!)
