Earlier today, a widespread power outage affected much of our service area in Peachtree, including the Peachtree Broadband Fiber office. Unfortunately, our backup generator, which had recently been serviced, experienced an unexpected failure during the outage. As a result, our office phones, internet, and customer support systems were temporarily unavailable.

We know this was frustrating for customers trying to reach us, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

The good news is that commercial power has been restored, our generator has been repaired, and our systems are back online. As the network and equipment complete their reboot processes, some customers may experience a delay before their modem reconnects. Please be patient as services fully restore across the network.

If your internet service does not return on its own, please try unplugging your modem for 30 seconds and then plugging it back in. A simple power cycle may help it reconnect more quickly.

Our team is working through any messages and customer concerns that may have accumulated during the outage. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we get everything back to normal.

The circuit we purchase that travels through Marietta was cut early this morning. We are now operating on a backup circuit. If your internet is still down please reset your modem and router by unplugging it for at least 30 seconds. This should initialize your equipment.

We apologize for the loss of service yesterday, March 12th. Peachtree Broadband Fiber connects our customers to the global internet backbone through circuits purchased from top-tier network providers. To ensure stability and redundancy, we purchase two separate circuits from two different companies that route traffic along different paths.

Yesterday, both of those routes experienced failures, either in whole or in part, which left many of our customers without service. Our office systems and phones were also affected yesterday afternoon, making it impossible for us to communicate updates at the time.

Late yesterday afternoon, our primary provider notified us that the damaged fiber had been located near Ball Ground, Georgia. Repairs were initiated as soon as the issue was identified. We regained service at approximately 8:00 pm last night through our secondary service provider. We were notified that repairs to the fiber from our primary service provider were completed at 4:10 am this morning.
