OpenAI 🤝 The Gen Academy, round two ❤️

When we partnered with OpenAI and gave our first cohort ChatGPT Pro, the response was honestly incredible.

I was SO happy seeing what people actually did with Codex once they had access to it.

People built automations for themselves, organized their work, figured out completely new ways to be productive, built projects they previously wouldn’t have attempted, and just kept finding new use cases for it.

Turn Your Project Folder Into an AI Brain

This isn’t one of those posts about how I finally disconnected from work.

Because… I didn’t. Not entirely.

There were still ideas scribbled in my notes app. Messages I wanted to reply to. Things I couldn’t wait to build when I got back.

And for a moment, I wondered if that was a bad thing. Then I realized something.

For me, productivity has always been directly proportional to accountability.

The more people I feel responsible for, whether it’s our learners, our community, my team, or the promises I’ve made, the more energized I become.

It’s never felt like pressure.

It feels like purpose.

The part of entrepreneurship that excites me the most isn’t the titles, the revenue, or the milestones.

It’s waking up every day knowing there is no ceiling on what you can build.

There is something incredibly addictive about that possibility.

Some people see chaos.

I see endless room to explore.

And somewhere along this journey, I stopped wondering whether entrepreneurship was the right path for me.

I know it in my bones.

This is exactly what I’m meant to be doing.

My husband has a phrase he says whenever we’re taking on yet another crazy idea:

“All gas, no brakes. Let’s go.”

That pretty much sums up this season of life.

I don’t have everything figured out.

But I’m incredibly excited to see what’s possible.

Most AI Startups Will Die Because of This

Here’s a simple test every AI founder should ask themselves:

Are you happy when AI models get better?

If the answer is no, you’re probably building on top of today’s limitations instead of tomorrow’s capabilities.

That means every new model release makes your product less valuable.

The companies that win won’t be the ones creating the smartest model.

They’ll be the ones that translate AI into real value for industries that can’t use it on their own.

As Anish Acharya put it:

→ Don’t build around the model’s weaknesses.
→ Build where every model improvement makes your customer more successful.

That’s the real moat.

Not prompting.
Not wrappers.
Not clever engineering around temporary limitations.

The strongest AI businesses compound as the models improve.

And one more lesson that stuck with me:

Most startups don’t fail because of a bad ex*****on plan. They fail because they started with the wrong assumption.

Ship early.
Talk to customers.
Kill bad assumptions fast.
Then keep building.

The future belongs to companies that become the bridge between rapidly improving AI and real-world problems.
