Microsoft just disclosed CVE-2026-45494, a medium-severity Microsoft Edge (Chromium-based) issue that can spoof what users think they’re seeing via a split-tab address bar trick. No fireworks like code ex*****on here—this is the sneaky kind that quietly convinces you to trust the wrong page, which is exactly how phishing wins. For Windows users, that means double-checking domains and not assuming the address bar is always telling the truth, because scammers love UI illusions. 🛡️👀

The FBI is warning that Kali365 is using a phishing-as-a-service approach to abuse device-code authentication and grab OAuth tokens, effectively sidestepping MFA on Microsoft 365 accounts. That’s a big deal for Windows users because it shows “MFA on” isn’t the same thing as “fully safe” when attackers can mimic legitimate sign-in flows. My take: if you’re running M365, take a hard look at your Conditional Access, token protections, and user/device sign-in policies—don’t just check the MFA box and call it a day 🔐😬

🔒 Is Your Municipality Protected Against Today's Cyber Threats?

Arkansas cities and towns are increasingly being targeted by cybercriminals. From ransomware attacks to phishing scams, local governments face the same threats as large organizations—but often with fewer resources.

That's why the Center for Internet Security (CIS) Controls have become the gold standard for building a strong cybersecurity foundation. These prioritized safeguards help municipalities:

✅ Reduce cybersecurity risk
✅ Protect sensitive citizen data
✅ Improve incident response readiness
✅ Meet compliance and insurance requirements
✅ Strengthen overall IT security posture

At Blue Guys IT, we've created a FREE booklet specifically for Arkansas municipalities that explains the CIS Controls in plain language and provides practical steps your organization can take today.

Arkansas rural healthcare providers may have new opportunities to modernize technology, cybersecurity, and infrastructure through the Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) and THRIVE initiatives.

Many rural clinics are currently facing challenges around:
• Windows 10 end-of-life
• Cybersecurity and ransomware protection
• HIPAA compliance
• Aging computers and networks
• Telehealth infrastructure
• Backup and disaster recovery

Programs like THRIVE may help eligible rural healthcare organizations fund modernization initiatives that improve patient care and strengthen operations.

Blue Guys IT is working with healthcare organizations across Arkansas to help plan and implement technology projects aligned with these priorities.

If your clinic or healthcare organization would like to learn more about potential technology modernization opportunities, we’d be happy to have a conversation.

⚠️ Did You Know?

If you delete an email in Microsoft 365, it’s permanently gone after 30 days by default!
That means if you empty your Deleted Items folder—or wait too long—those messages can’t be recovered.

💡 The fix: enable Microsoft 365 Email Retention Policies so your clinic’s emails are automatically saved for compliance and legal protection (HIPAA requires it!).
