Renaissart Graphic Design

We provide creative and production services for all forms of visual media – both to clients direct It was truly a Renaissance environment.

Renaissart Graphic Design is the brain child of owner John Chitwood. The unique name and company brand was launched in 2000 when John moved his graphic design business into a studio on upper King Street. Sharing the space with an architect and photographer actually inspired the company name. In early 2017, Renaissart Design relocated to Mt. Pleasant, where it continues to share studio space with other creative businesses. Renaissart Design has grown each year, thanks to a loyal and diverse client base. Many of our clients have been have been with us for years. Their varied creative needs keep things interesting and provide a steady source of business through seasonal and economic shifts.

Here's a first look at my newest Edisto illustration. It's based on a photo I took earlier in September of a tree on the beach by our beach house. I'm thinking "Sea Turtle Tree" for the title. Let me know what y'all think.
Prints will be available soon on my website, and at the Edisto Art Gallery.

I'm working on some new illustrative prints from photos I took this Summer. And should have the first of them available at the
The Art Gallery on Edisto by the end of the month. But there is already a nice selection of prints, pottery and original art available at the Edisto Art Gallery that you can have TODAY! Stop in and pick up a memory to take home.

Here’s something new… kinda… I’ve adapted my recent print, “Golden Rocks & The Three Chairs” into a travel poster style variant. It’s kind of an oxymoron since Edisto is one of the least touristy places on the coast, but I’ve always loved this poster style. And these colors really pop. Available now on my website at www.ARTofCHARLESTON.com and at the Edisto Art Gallery starting Friday, May 1.
