We had NovaStar on-site at our Mt. Juliet office this month for something pretty rare in our industry: Level 3 NCE (NovaStar Certified Engineer) training. 🎓

NovaStar has trained over 19,000 people globally since 2014, but Level 3 is a whole different level. Fewer than 100 people worldwide have earned it this year, and only three Level 3 sessions were held anywhere in the world. We got to host one of them.

Congrats to our own Nate Johnson and Artie Scarazzo for passing their Level 3 certification! Their expertise means even sharper LED display support for our clients.

Congratulations to Kenny Mason on his promotion to President of Elite Multimedia Productions!

Kenny's path here tells the story: he joined Elite as an Account Manager, rose to Director of Production Management, then Vice President of Production Management, and at every step, he raised the bar. His leadership was instrumental in steering Elite through the COVID-19 pandemic, a stretch that tested every part of this industry and proved exactly what he's made of.

Before Elite, Kenny spent two decades on the road and behind the board, designing and producing lighting, broadcast, and live event experiences for artists such as Iron Maiden, Sammy Hagar, and Korn.

Our video and LED lead Angel walks through the custom interactive LED backboard Elite built for this project. IR camera tracking, OSC signal translation, instant replay integration, and a Notch-powered effects engine that fires real-time animations the moment the ball goes through the net. 🏀

The system auto-clears between plays and stays performance-ready for the full game. A custom protective frame keeps the LED locked in safely through everything live play demands.
