A look inside the new dCS MCD 16, showing its sixteen channels and eight Ring DAC circuits.

The Ring DAC is the foundation of every dCS product, chosen for its exceptional distortion and noise performance.

Reduced harmonic distortion across the dynamic range means quiet passages of music or dialogue are rendered with complete integrity.

We delivered and setup a Dohmann Helix One with the vacuum clamp yesterday. Needless to say, this system is amazing. The Dohmann is effortless and quiet. Cranking the music is just as effortless, no compression, no fatigue, just a joy to listen to!

Other components are a Clearaudio Unity tonearm and Goldfinger cartridge, MOON 810LP, D'Agostino Relentless, Sonus faber Aida's, Transparent Magnum Opus, Accuphase SACD player.

We are excited to announce 2 new products in the 800 series! We are also excited that we will be showing these at High End Vienna next week. Visit us in rooms 3.81 and 3.83 to see and hear these for the first time!

-808 Phono Preamplifier- A phono stage in the 800 series, which is a step up from the 508 and allows for customizable cartridge loading, much like the 1108 and 2108. Toggleable mono and low cut switches.

-851 Mono Amplifier- A 100-watt per channel amp utilizing the Smart Current pure Class A that we use in the 1100 series, but in the same size package as the 861 stereo and 812 DAC preamplifier. The most powerful ‘travel-sized’ Boulder created to date. After first listening, many of the employees and engineers wanted a pair for themselves, and we are excited to finally show them off.

Quintessence would like to give a big thanks to Gordon Inch from Linn for coming to Chicago to give a talk, share demonstrations, and connect with attendees. Our customers loved meeting him, learning more about Linn, and experiencing the three systems we had running that day. We also enjoyed catching up with existing Linn customers who stopped by the store over the weekend.
