⏰Better late than jail⏰
TEMPE, AZ - On July 7, 2025, at approximately 5:25 PM, a black Hyundai was observed traveling at a high rate of speed on AZ-202 at milepost 6. A Highway Patrol State Trooper captured a speed of 111 MPH on LIDAR and another Trooper later captured a speed of 110 MPH. When the Trooper caught up, he saw the vehicle cut from the HOV lane to another lane, almost causing two collisions. The driver was stopped, and the Troopers asked why he was driving like that. The driver stated he was “late to a new contract meeting”. He was arrested and booked into jail for reckless driving and criminal speed.
👮Criminal Speed = JAIL
👮Reckless Driving = JAIL
⏰Your rush is not the responsibility of other drivers. Arrive at your destination safely, maybe a few minutes late. Otherwise, our Highway Patrol may take you to a very different appointment.
