We had a nearly 17 mile detection with the Es**rt Redline 360c on 35.5GHz Ka-band. AZ state trooper was being very selective with his I/O shots.

I was out doing some speed tests (nit RD tests) with a Mercedes AMG on I-40 while hand holding my iPhone as we don’t have a dashcam installed in this vehicle and wasn’t expecting this radar encounter.

Will compress the 15 minutes of alerting to something watchable.

At any rate, terrific performance from the Es**rt Redline 360c.

The updated Es**rt firmware is the game changer for Es**rt.

TEMPE, AZ - On July 7, 2025, at approximately 5:25 PM, a black Hyundai was observed traveling at a high rate of speed on AZ-202 at milepost 6. A Highway Patrol State Trooper captured a speed of 111 MPH on LIDAR and another Trooper later captured a speed of 110 MPH. When the Trooper caught up, he saw the vehicle cut from the HOV lane to another lane, almost causing two collisions. The driver was stopped, and the Troopers asked why he was driving like that. The driver stated he was “late to a new contract meeting”. He was arrested and booked into jail for reckless driving and criminal speed.

While at Tasmania, we were snapped by a speed camera in excess of the PSL in the city of Hobart, likely more than one time during our stay there.

We were told they only allowed for a 3 kph buffer.

That’s fewer than 2 mph over the PSL!

Fortunately, we had a rental vehicle and when we returned to the states, I canceled the credit card used so if they nominated me for the ticket, they wouldn’t be able to charge the card after the fact.

No driver likes to receive a speeding fine. But do Australian speed cameras have a buffer? We find out.
