During a real cyber incident, you need a plan in place, so things run smoothly and nothing is missed. AI can genuinely help β€” drafting a communications timeline, triaging alerts, organizing what you know versus what you're still confirming. It can also make things worse, fast, if the wrong call gets handed to it.
1. Do you have a real plan?
2. Has it been tested (do you know if it works)?
3. Do you want to learn how to update/upgrade your plan easily with AI?

Bring your leadership team. 9/30 12:00p-5:00p β€” Topgolf Charlotte University - Lunch and a Topgolf session are included β€” *Walk away with what your cyber insurance will ask you for and a whole lot more!*

Cybersecurity is not just an IT responsibility.

Every employee plays a role in protecting the organization.

When teams understand how to recognize suspicious activity and report concerns, security becomes stronger across the entire business.

Your team should not have to remember dozens of passwords.

That is how weak passwords, reused passwords, and sticky-note shortcuts happen.

Password managers help create strong, unique credentials while making account access easier to manage.

Many cyberattacks still begin with an email.

A suspicious attachment, fake invoice, or urgent request can look convincing enough to fool even experienced users.

Email security requires the right tools and the right habits working together.

If last week's CMMC news made you think about pausing your compliance work, that's the wrong read β€” here's why.

On July 13, the Department of War suspended CMMC Phase II: the requirement for third-party C3PAO certification on Level 2 contracts. It does not touch Phase I self-assessment requirements, and it does not touch DFARS 252.204-7012, the underlying obligation to safeguard covered defense information, in force since 2016.

For a growing business, the temptation is to treat any regulatory pause as budget you can redirect elsewhere. We'd push back on that. The controls, documentation, and training you've been building are still the standard DoD checks against your SPRS score. Stopping now doesn't save money, it just means starting over later, on a shorter timeline, once the picture is clearer.

Our recommendation: keep your program on its current track. We're monitoring the CMMC Reform Task Force's 60-day review and will flag anything that actually changes your plan β€” not before. Keep the momentum; here's where to pick up the conversation:

You cannot address risks you do not know about.

A Security Risk Assessment helps businesses identify vulnerabilities before attackers have the opportunity to take advantage of them.

Understanding your current security posture is an important step toward building a stronger, more resilient environment.

The web makes business faster, easier, and more connected.

It also creates new opportunities for cybercriminals.

Verifying websites, avoiding suspicious links, and keeping security protections in place can help reduce everyday risk.

Happy World Wide Web Day from Biz Technology Solutions.

Old technology is not just a performance issue.

Unsupported hardware and software create security risks because they no longer receive updates or patches.

Planning for technology replacement before systems fail helps keep businesses secure and productive.

Every vendor with access to your systems becomes part of your security environment.

If a third-party provider has a security weakness and they are connected to your network, that risk can affect your business too.

Managing vendor relationships is not just about operations. It is an important part of cybersecurity.
