IMPORTANT STUFF!!! Still have that absentee ballot laying on your table? In order for your ballot to count, it must be RECEIVED by 8:00 p.m. on ELECTION DAY! Mailing your ballot is taking a minimum of 2 days, so don’t delay! If you want to hand deliver your ballot, bring it to the Auditor’s Office!
Don’t try to drop it off at the polls on election day-our precinct officials are required to void those and have you vote a regular ballot-that’s the law.

A special thanks to Matt and Beth McQuillen for their donation of first responder medical bags to the Monticello Police Department. In March of 2020 their daughter Maggie was involved in a serious motor vehicle accident on Highway 151 near Anamosa. Thanks to the quick response and immediate medical intervention Maggie’s story is one of perseverance and triumph. It has become a mission of the McQuillen family to give back to area first responders and provide necessary front line medical supplies. These kits will be added to our existing medical supplies and made available within our patrol vehicles for officers who routinely respond to medical emergencies.
