We believe everyone is agile; they just don’t know it yet.

Agility isn't just for software developers.

It is a combination of methodologies to help people plan, deliver, and handle change through
* itemization,
* prioritization, and
* sequencing

Whether you are managing a busy household or a complex project, you are likely already using these building blocks.

Take a look at this video and let us know if you might be agile.

We want to talk to as many of you as we can to make sure we aren’t crazy!

Let us know what you think in the comments.

🚀 Feeling stuck? It’s time to step outside! 🌳

In our latest discussion with preschool teacher Angela Valentine, we dive into the simplest, most effective hack for breaking through mental blocks:

"Go for a walk" or stand barefoot in the grass.

Angela Valentine relies on these nature-based "pauses" to ground herself, focusing on the "little things"—like a falling leaf or the sound of an acorn—to clear the mental chaos and find relief.

As Coach Reginald Lewis Jr Valentine points out, getting unstuck often requires you to "lean back" like a sprinter in the blocks to gain the momentum needed to move forward.

This practice is the foundation of Angela’s Stop, Think, Plan method, proving that sometimes you have to slow down to actually speed up your progress.

No Doubt, Let's Go! - Deep Comedy

When the Comic Gets Deep: Do You Live in a Bubble?

You think you’re prepared for anything, but are you really?

In the next segment of No Doubt, Let’s Go!, Robert Field, The Uberful Life Comic, throws out a question so unexpected, it shatters the comfort zone!

Robert sets the stage by suggesting that society has a talent for keeping us cozy:

“people don’t even recognize how society has put them in this bubble and made them create a believability of what is comfortable and what’s not”

And then, he drops the mic:

“How do you feel about homeless people?”

The question isn’t meant to be easy; it’s designed to expose how quickly our assumptions crumble when faced with uncomfortable reality.

It’s the ultimate test of the agile mindset—the ability to pivot without remorse.

Coach Reggie’s response?
It starts with a story that perfectly illustrates the clash of worlds:

“I grew up in an IBM household…”

Don’t miss the episode where corporate structure meets street-level reality!

Listen to the full conversation to find out what happens when you challenge your bubble and discover the unexpected agility that follows.

Beyond the Punchline: Comedy, Purpose, and the Agile Pivot

In a powerful moment on No Doubt, Let’s Go, Robert Field shares the motivation behind his comedy production philosophy, revealing how he integrates self-reflection and charitable work into a typically self-focused industry.

Ha Ha for Humanity: Comedy with Meaning

Starting comedy at an older age, leads to a greater degree of self-reflection.

This self-awareness changed his perspective on producing shows: he decided that if he was going to produce them, they needed to be “with a meaning, not just for myself”.

This intentional choice birthed the moniker “Ha Ha for Humanity”.

Even though he may not always use that specific name today, the core concept remains:

Doing a comedy show to raise money for a foundation, charity, or people.

Agility in Life and Comedy

This focus on purpose ties directly back to the agile mindset that is central to the No Doubt, Let’s Go podcast.

Success in comedy (and life) requires constant adaptation, noting that it is inherently “difficult to predict things, especially the future”.

When unexpected circumstances or reactions arise, Robert emphasizes the need for agility:

“Then I need to have the agility to take what I didn’t expect. Make it into what I expected.”

This approach means taking the reality presented to you and actively transforming it into the outcome you desire.

Robert exemplifies this adaptation by focusing his time on producing shows, even when it means sacrificing opportunities that require traditional preparation (like making tapes for competitions such as the World Series of Comedy).

Practicing What We Preach

We applaud this purpose-driven work ethic, linking it to the philosophy of servant leadership. For us, servant leadership is succinctly defined as “practice what we preach”.

This continuous self-improvement and refinement of approach aligns with the agile concept of Kaizen, or relentless improvement, which involves celebrating successes while constantly looking for ways to be better going forward.

Robert’s charitable comedy, therefore, is not just entertainment; it’s a demonstration of his commitment to using his platform for a higher purpose while maintaining the agility needed to pivot toward positive outcomes.

📍 There's a lot of structure in Agile is just what they find important is different

11/10/2025

The Illusion of Control vs. the Agile Mindset

Coach Reggie and Robert Field challenge the notion of conventional planning, arguing that excessive scheduling and attempts to “keep things in line” often stem from a fundamental misunderstanding of personal power.

The Illusion of Control
Robert Field asserts that people often prefer the known and plan meticulously to avoid “too much agility,” which they view as a threat to their comfort zones.

This rigid planning is often based on the illusion of control.

This illusion is perpetuated because people are controlling their lives based on preconceived notions put onto them by society—not recognized personal truths.

This behavior keeps individuals in a “comfortable box” or “bubble”. The preference for this bubble is that it is static and does not change, making the concept of being agile—or readily adapting to change—scary.

Agility requires breaking away from a mindset driven by fear.

The Structure of Agility
The clip highlights a friendly debate regarding the inherent structure of agility:

Robert Field initially argues that “Agile is no structure”.

Coach Reggie counters this, noting that this is a misconception.

He emphasizes that while Agile does contain structure, it differs from traditional methods by valuing interactions over processes and tools
(a core tenet of the Agile Manifesto).

Embracing Agility
The underlying theme of this exchange is that the only way to achieve true agility is to live the agile life. This involves challenging static beliefs and developing self-awareness through practices like meditation.

Being agile means:

Pivoting without remorse.

Taking the reality that is presented in front of you—including unexpected reactions from others—and transforming it into what you desire, rather than forcing preconceived outcomes.

Question your own “bubbles” and move toward an agile mindset that embraces change rather than fearing it.

Meet Coach Marcus and Harold, the dynamic duo here to teach you the real deal about Scrum. It's not just about ceremonies but leading through empowerment. Ready to transform into a Scrum Master?

Stay tuned!

Coach Marcus and Harold Kumar discuss the concepts of being a master of scrum.

10/10/2025

"Scrum is based on a simple idea: whenever you start a project, why not regularly check in, see if what you're doing is heading in the right direction.”
- Jeff Sutherland

The future of work is here, and it's powered by AI.

We can use Generative AI (GenAI) to enhance our effectiveness in nearly every aspect of the Scrum framework, from planning to retrospectives.

The purpose is not to replace the team but to automate routine tasks, provide data-driven insights, and act as a coaching assistant so we can focus on higher-level development and removing complex impediments.

In our new video series, we'll be walking through how to apply AI to each Scrum ceremony, up next: the Daily Standup.

Daily Standups with GenAI

We can prompt a GenAI to help make the daily standup more efficient and data-driven.

* For summarizing yesterday's progress:
"Analyze our team's Jira data from the last 24 hours. Provide a brief summary of completed stories, tickets that have moved to 'In Progress,' and any tickets that have remained in the same status for more than one day."

* For identifying blockers:
"Scan the team's active sprint backlog. Based on dependencies and tickets that haven't moved in two days, highlight any potential blockers or risks for discussion in the standup."

* For a quick forecast:
"Using our current sprint backlog and the team's velocity for the past three days, project our burn-down and forecast whether we are on track to complete the sprint commitment."
