A vulnerability exists in IOS 12.1 that may allow another Apple product user to, very easily, complete and monitor a FaceTime call without your knowledge and without the iPhone showing that FaceTime is active. An update is expected to be released within the next week to patch the vulnerability. Until then, I encourage all IOS 12 users to temporarily disable FaceTime by going to Settings, FaceTime, and sliding the option to off (gray).

This is new - mainstream sites recently ran ads containing malware on their pages. A reminder to please use current antivirus software and run additional malware scans at least monthly.

Worried about this? "This computer will soon stop receiving Google Chrome updates because Windows XP and Windows Vista will no longer be supported"

I've had several clients ask me about this. Yes, it's real, Chrome will stop updating in XP and Vista later this year. While it should still continue to function, you should consider upgrading your OS or moving away from Chrome.

While we don't necessarily recommend hiding messages, once you know what's going on you may get tired of the message each time you open up Chrome. If so:

- right-click on your icon/shortcut to Google Chrome
- select "Properties"
- select the "Shortcut" tab
- locate the "Target" field
- click in the field and move to the end of the text
- add " --disable-infobars" without the quotation marks (include the space)
- select "Apply" and "OK"
