🔥PS5 randomly shutting off or overheating🔥

Client brought this in from somewhere else.
His PS5 was shutting off every 30 minutes of use.

Opened it up and was surprised with this mess! 🤢

We cleaned the gunk(thermal paste) off of the APU and heat sink.

Mirror finished it and reapplied the correct Thermal compound now it is running flawlessly! 👌

👨‍🔧With every HDMI repair we do a deep clean and redo the liquid metal if needed as a courtesy service to prevent future problems since we have everything taken apart as it is. 🔬🪛

👾🎮Customer brought this PS5 in that was previously fixed locally. They did not anchor down the port properly and was setting this HDMI port up for failure.

⚓️When the port is not anchored down properly any tug or tension on the port will rip the pads/board layer off creating a more costly repair.

👨‍🔧We rebuilt 10 pads and got it working perfectly!

🔥With every HDMI repair we include a complimentary full disassembly cleaning, removal of oxidation off the processing unit and heatsink, and reapplication of liquid metal.

🔥We believe it is a full service that needs to be addressed since there is no point in fixing the HDMI port, if the device is showing signs that it will overheat in the near future, which would need a full disassembly again.

💀😵A customer’s failed attempt at a PS5 HDMI repair.
Burnt board, bridged connections, knocked off components, and liquid metal everywhere!

🤓🔬🎮 We cleaned the board of any spilled liquid metal (a highly conductive substance that can short the entire unit), replaced the liquid metal, replaced the missing components, and soldered on a new HDMI port correctly to save this PS5!
