I Love American History.
It was probably my best subject in my junior year of HS. However, just to make sure my memory was correct, I looked some facts up and came to the conclusion that waiting an average of 5 years for the privilege of becoming an American citizen is no big deal.

Compare that to the immigrants from Europe who crossed an ocean (not a border) to escape persecution in 1620 and whose descendants, 156 years later had to fight a war that lasted 7 years 04/19/1775 - 09/03/1783 to become Americans.
